Accessing the RC Willey VPN (GlobalProtect)
In order to access the Willey system or your desktop from home, you will need to install the GlobalProtect VPN client. This client allows your home computer, phone or tablet to become a part of the corporate network. Once you connect, you can access the Willey system or your desktop as if you were in the office.
Download and Install the Global Protect VPN Client for Windows
You’ll only have to follow the download steps in this section once.
Before Starting, make sure you are disconnected any VPN Software.
1. Go to slcpalo.rcwilley.com. You will then be asked for your Microsoft email address. Type your email address and click “Next.”
2. You will then be asked for your Microsoft password. Type your password and click “Sign In.”
3. You will be asked to approve the sign in request using your Microsoft Authenticator app. Open the Microsoft authenticator app on your phone, and type the number on your computer screen into the window that comes up in your app.
4. On the paloalto page that comes up, click on the appropriate agent download link. NOTE: For almost all Windows users this will be: “Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent.”
5. The client will download in your browser. Once the download completes, click on “Open File.”
6. On the Welcome Screen, click “Next.”
7. On the Select Installation Folder screen, click “Next” again.
8. On the Confirm Installation page, click “Next” once more.
9. The program will install. Once the installation finishes, go ahead and click “Close.” Then restart your computer.
Connect Using the VPN Client
Each time you want to remotely access RCW Willey resources, you’ll need to follow the connection steps in this section.

Find and open the GlobalProtect software on your computer. You can do this by using the windows search (magnifying glass by your start button) and typing GlobalProtect. When it shows up in the results, click to the right where it says “Pin to Taskbar" to save a shortcut in your taskbar. Then click on GlobalProtect to open it.
2. When GlobalConnect opens, click on “Get Started.”
3. In the portal field, put slcpalo.rcwilley.com. Then click “Connect.”
4. You will be prompted for your Microsoft email address and your password after clicking “Next.” Then Click “Sign In.”
5. You will be asked to approve the sign in request using your Microsoft Authenticator app. Open the Microsoft authenticator app on your phone, and type the number on your computer screen into the window that comes up in your app.
6. After approving the sign in through the Authenticator app, you should get the message that you are connected. This means you have successfully connected to the VPN and can now access the RC Willey network.
7. You're connected and ready to work! You can connect to any RC Willey systems you normally have access to.
When you're finished, you can click the taskbar icon and click "Disconnect." otherwise, you'll be disconnected after 10 hours.
