IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU ARE SIGNING INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AT OFFICE.COM ON A COMPUTER. IT WILL NOT WORK ON A PHONE FOR YOUR FIRST LOGIN.
1. When you sign into Outlook or any Microsoft application online, you will first get this sign-in window, where you will enter your RC Willey email address.
2. You will then be asked to enter your password (This is the same as your HR Portal password).
3. You will then receive a message that there is more information required. From this window, you will click “Next.”
4. If you previously used a text message for two-factor authentication, this will no longer work. You will need to install the Microsoft Authenticator app. You will be taken to another page that asks you to download the Microsoft Authenticator app onto your phone.
- If you already have the app, open the app on your phone, and just click "Next."
- If you already have an account in the phone click the + sign in the upper right to add account.
- If you don't have the app - On your phone, open the App Store (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android) to install the app. Search for "Microsoft Authenticator."
NOTE: Make sure the app icon is identical to the one shown below, and that the app publisher is Microsoft Corporation.
NOTE: You should open the app and accept the notification permissions it asks for - but DO NOT sign in yet. Continue with the instructions below.
Once the App is installed on your phone and opened, click “Next" on your computer screen
5. In the app on your phone, you will choose to add an account, then you will select “Work or School Account" then "Scan QR Code." Accept the camera permissions.
After you do this, click next on this screen on your computer.
6. The camera will open in the app on your phone. You will want to scan the QR code that is on the computer screen. (The QR code in the screenshot below is only an example. Make sure to use the one on your computer screen)
7. After setting this up for the first time, you will be asked to enter a two digit code in the authenticator app. On your phone - Enter the code you see on your computer screen, tap "yes", then enter your phone lock code (or fingerprint or FaceID) when prompted.
