How to rename your Apple computer and Install RSA NetWitness.
Step 1: Rename the Computer to something that contains your name in the computer name. If it does already, move to the next step.
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click About on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Type a new name in the Name field.
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Sharing.
2. If the lock at the bottom left is locked, click it to unlock the preference pane.
3. Type a new name in the Computer Name field.
Step 2: Install NetWitness
This can be done when you are in the office and connected to the RC Willey network or over the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.
Click on the desktop, press Command key + K to bring up the Connect to Server window.
Enter sever address: smb://51-svr-itadmins.rcwilley.corp, click Connect.
Login with your RC Willey user name and password. If your email address is james.rhodes@rcwilley.com, your user name is james.rhodes. The password is the same as your email password.)
Browse to the Public share.
Open the RSA Agents folder and then open the “mac install” folder.
Copy the nwe-agent.pkg file to your user folder on the Mac, not the desktop.

Double click on new-agent.pkg and install the Netwitness Endpoint Agent.
Run the installation twice.
