Outlook and MAM Setup - Android
Follow these instructions to set up Outlook and Microsoft Mobile Access Management (MAM) on your Android phone.
- If you do not have the Outlook App on your device, start at Step 1 - "Install and Setup the Outlook App."
- If you already use Outlook, start at Step 6 - "Microsoft MAM Setup in the Outlook App."
Install and Setup the Outlook app
1. Open the Google Play Store app and search for Microsoft Outlook. Click "Install" to install the Microsoft Outlook app on your device.
2. Once installed, open Outlook by clicking on the "Open" button.
3. Click "Add Account."
4. On the "Add Account" screen type your RC Willey email address and click "Continue."
5. On the following screen enter your password and click Sign in.

6. You'll see the following prompt in the Outlook App. At this screen, click “Get the app.”
7. This will take you back to the Play Store and prompt you to Install the Intune Company Portal. Click "Install."
8. Once installed, click "Open."
9. Once opened, you will be prompted to Add Account. Click, Add Account.
NOTE: If you do not see "Add Account" or you see a message about Work Apps or a Work Profile -- Exit the application. Do NOT set up a work profile.
10. The Company Portal App should remember your email, so enter your password again and click "Sign in."
11. Click the "Register" button to continue.
12. When prompted to add another account, click Maybe Later. Do NOT follow prompts to set up a work profile
13. Once this is completed, You'll be redirected back to the Outlook App. You don't need to do anything else in the Company Portal App. You will get the following prompt In Outlook. Assuming your device and account meet the MAM requirements we've set, you'll see all Green Checks. Click Continue.
If you see an error, contact IT for assistance.
14. On the following screen you will be prompted to set up a PIN, this must be at least 4 digits. You'll need to remember this PIN.
NOTE: this is not your device lock PIN. It's only used for Microsoft Apps. You'll be prompted for it when opening Microsoft Apps on your device. If you have FaceID, a fingerprint, or other biometrics set up on your device, you will be prompted for that instead.
15. At this point you can access all your emails in Outlook. You can also access Calendar and Contacts from within the Outlook App.
NOTE: You'll see the "Get Access" prompt from step 13 when you first launch other Microsoft Apps you use, and they will also periodically require the PIN or biometrics you set up.
NOTE: You we need to install some other apps if you need to do anything beyond just sending and receiving email. Some other apps you will almost certainly need are the following. (Install them from the Google Play Store):

Microsoft Edge - Needed to follow web links in your email.

Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP) - Needed to view non-Office attachments (Voicemail files, PDFs, etc.)
Other Apps are optional, but helpful:

Microsoft Office Apps (Word, Excel, etc.) - Needed to view and edit OneDrive and SharePoint Files

Microsoft OneDrive - to access your personal OneDrive files

Microsoft SharePoint - to access shared department sites

Microsoft Teams - Chat and project collaboration.
